With over 35 years of experience in the industry, I focus on producing healthy honey bees and queens, which, with proper care, are capable of surviving the winters and thriving despite the many challenges in the current beekeeping environment. The genetics that I work with are largely based on New World Carniolans, which are a bit smaller and very dark in color. If a queen can contribute to a strong colony with low mite counts most of the other challenges are significantly less challenging.
